I never go out on Friday the 13ths ... went out a few times on them and had the weirdest nights ...

superstitions come from somewhere ... if enough people believe it ... its gonna happen .... I shall be locked up nice and safe on friday ... with movies and popcorn ... :D

It's a load of pagan mystic nonsense (or Final Supper based nonsense - you choose). Having said that, my friend Jason is coming over to visit Dublin on Friday. He has a terrible skin condition, so he wears a mask on his face. He likes hockey, you see. Anyone want to point him to a place where he can meet lots of nice people on the day in question?

FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH IS A HAPPY DAY!

and it is NOT pagan mystic nonsense - it used to be a wonderful day until other people came along and twisted it around to be "unlucky" - thirteen moons, etc.

    13 is my favorite number.

I was also born on Friday the 13th, and my son was born on Friday the 13th. We checked his forehead for the numbers 666 when he was born but we couldn't see any and so far he doesn't appear to be a spawn of Satan or anything like that.

Except that it IS possibly pagan mystic nonsense, as from the source given:
We have already mentioned Judas and the crucifixion of Christ; this has a parallel in the old ‘pagan’ religion of the North: twelve gods were invited to a banquet at Valhalla. Loki, the trickster deity, was excluded, but he came anyway and the guests now numbered 13. Loki killed the god Balder at the banquet Loki killed the god Balder at the banquet by tricking Balder's blind twin brother Hod into throwing a mistletoe fig (dart) at the god.
I also heard that it was to do with witch's covens, where the thirteenth member knocked up the level of "evilness" (which is why I mentioned pagan nonsense). Also the concept of 13 cycles of the moon and all that is often directly tied into paganism. So I stand by my statement and will have Jason staunchily defend me.

I doubt its a pagan thing. Didn't the pagans use a different calendar to the christians?
