Transfering files from pc to laptop

    Just wondering how to transfer files from my brothers pc to his laptop
    What kind of cable,slots etc
    What program to get or what do ya need
    Ye know stuff like that...
    Anyways any help would be greatly apreciated!

    The easiest way is if they both have network cards, then you just need to buy a crossover cable if you don't already have one, they should be cheap enough anywhere that sells pc stuff, just make sure it's a crossover cable not a normal ethernet cable. You can just connect the laptop and desktop with that between the network cards.

    Or if you have a serial-to-serial cable you could use Direct Cable Connection. Slower but if they don't have network cards its an alternative to buying some..
