Valentines Conunrum...

What to do what to do....?!

Been going out with the girlfriend for a fair while now. We're kinda on a break/broke up. But there's the old conundrum... We keep on ending up together in the throws of passion not too infrequently.

It's all good. We're friends and more. But we need space from the relationship for a bit.

Valentines seems to present me with problems though. She's insinuated that she's not a valentines person. I've a table booked in a swank restaurant. (been booked for a while now). And I want to show her that I care.

So, the question is, do we go to the restaurant? If we do, should I pay or do we go Dutch? Dunno.....

Or should we just bite the bullet and call it a day on the booze. Seeing as the 6 nations is on and all!

    :)

You've got the table booked, so I say go for it and best of luck.

Sure it'll be nice food anyways:D

A choice between an infuriating holdy-hands night out with a girly or the Six Nations?

    single?

if you've booked a dinner than go for it, even if she says she didn't want it, me thinks she will enjoy it very much anyway

    as for going dutch

well, I always do, however, you booked an expensive restaurant without passing it with her, can she afford it or are you putting her on the spot money wise? if she offers to pay then let her, otherwise....

Oh she knows. Booked it last November. It's just that we've cooled things off a bit (for the right reasons). Affording it isn't the problem either. Just wary that the whole Valentines thing will spook her....

    well
we can't know that, though I don't see why it should, especially as she knows already

If you like her, go for the meal. Make up with her. Get back together. If not, stop kidding yourself and move on.
