    whats the deal with this movie? was it canned? or what , or heard anything about the plot , i.e. is a continuation, and sign of another series, the last one was by far one of the best..............


    remember the one without rimmer? awful.

    They started writing the film and read throughs for the cast in 2001 but due to other commitments for the Posse ( i.e. Chris Barrie in TombRaiders & Danny John Jules in Blade II ) it got delayed. The latest from the website is www.reddwarf.co.uk is below:

    Red Dwarf - The Movie may be shot in Australia. Preliminary design work is currently underway and shooting is slated for May 2004. Crewing up has not yet begun. When Red Dwarf Films is ready to accept CV submissions and other enquiries, contact details for all departments will be posted here. Please watch the Movie Deck area of the site for further updates.

    They originally planned to try and release it last December but obviously didn't so they are probably aiming for this Christmas !

    Chris Barrie was on the radio yesterday saying there was a legal hitch, that until someone signs off on it nothing will be done...
