I was very surprised by the BBC when I read this article this morning.
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/3457823.stm

In not so many words is saying the Open source community planned this out?

    few nice quotes from it...
If anyone's anger has no measure, it is the wrath of internet zealots who believe that code should be free to all (open source).
So, it seems likely that the perpetrators of the MyDoom virus and its variants are internet vandals with a specific grudge.

SCO is the big, bad company that violates one of their sacred principles, as they would see it.

In all I'm disoppointed in the BBC atm
    :(

    Haven't you seen wargames?

Internet wierdos want to start Nuclear wars.... clearly.

    /Typedef is thinking :

A knife, an elastic band and a brief conversation with our friend Tyler Durden should... eludicate people as to why, you don't want to piss your techies off.

There is a lot of coverage of this over on SlashDot - I'd say the BBC servers don't know what has hit them :)

What a bunch of muppets. Seriously, i thought the bbc were a quality news service, they didn't seem to be too propaghandish (is that a word?) during the Iraq war - but this is a load of bollox. **** you BBC!

it'll certainly put a spike in there traffic graph

I've always considered the BBC as a quality news service much better then the likes of even CNN.

    shame they did this.. :(

i was recently asked for advice about an SCO box: I would rather run Windows 2k server than SCO's openserver, as i personally detest SCO for what they have done.
