    HELP
Ive just built my own serial port(female) to connect to a pcb, the problem is when i run my code to transmit and recieve via to\from the hyperterminal the port it just keeps on transmitting. The pcd board iam using already has an inbuilt serial port, which runs my code fine. Any ideas why a serial port just keeps on transmitting, could it be a wiring problem.

    Ken

Need more details on what you are trying to do but is it possible that there is a short between transmit and recieve causing a loopback?

Also does the baud rate that hyperterminal is set at match your pcb board?
