Catching up on news, I see Jack Tunney (responsible for promotion in Canada and on-air President for WWF/E) died last week at the age of 68.

Man, I remember him taking a seat at Ringside for the Hogan/Undertaker match three days after survivor series 91.

he was president for about 10 years, and in that time i remember his name being mentioned a lot, but only actually seing him on air about 1/2 dozen times.

Yeah, it was McMahon's vain attempt to trick people that he was only a lowly announcer, and not the owner of the company. So he threw a president title on Tunney.

Then we had President Piper, President Monsoon and they finally gave up the ghost with the act and turned it into the commissioner while McMahon became... Mister McMahon

However, the most work Tunney ever did was promote shows in Canada.

Ah, Jack Tunney. Remember him always being mentioned but you'd only see him about 5 or 6 times ever. Remember him well though.

    Piper was President??

Yeah. Piper was the president up until Wrestlemania X2. He held a few interviews with Michaels and Bret Hart regarding the Iron man match at the said event. Gorilla Monsoon became presedent how ever on the night of WMX2.

The president angle eventually became the commish angle with slaughter, michales, foley, wregal and then the name was changed again to the co-GM/General Manager ordeal we have today.

Same idea for the last 11 1/2 years, just different titles. McMahon has always been lurking in the background tho.
