Planetarion Speed Games

    Unsure if interests anyone, but ...
    I'm delighted to say that signups for Planetarion's first game of 2004 are OPEN. Create your planet here now.

    Over the course of February we will be running a Cup series of three Speedgames:

    February 7th / 8th - 10am to 5pm, 6pm to 11pm (both days) Registration Open

    February 14th / 15th - 10am to 10am (24 hrs straight) (Signups open 9th Feb)

    February 21st / 22nd - 1pm to 8pm, 9pm to 2am (both days) (Signups open 16th Feb)

    From each of these Pay to Play games the top 4 galaxies will qualify to play for the exclusive free final, scheduled to be held on the 6th & 7th of March. In addition to this prizes will be offered for each game in categories like "Best Banner" and "Best Planet / Galaxy Name".

    All games will feature a tick rate of 1 minute and use a modified version of the PaX code, the main changes having been detailed below by Spinner. For the purpose of these games Private Galaxies will be enabled

    The first 3 Speedgames will be Pay to Play only and any planet created in the game must be upgraded before the game ticks start if you want to participate in the game. For these Speedgames we will be using credits that shall be transferable to any future Speed, Havoc or Normal game we plan to run, the cost of buying these credits being £10 for 3 as a minimum amount, although if you want to buy 15 credits you can do so for £50. Credits can also be used to upgrade other people's planet after they have registered and we would strongly recommend that you take advantage of the drop in price to help introduce a friend to the Planetarion experience. As a further point on this matter you should make sure that you register with an email account you plan to use for a while as this will be the primary method of linking credits to users.
