    Yeah i really liked it.

Good story but i didn't like the last 40 mins of the movie for some reason. The soldier bits seemed boring to me.

The storyboard ending on the dvd is better imho although one important part of it is flawed.

It was good, not what I was expecting really but I enjoyed it none the less. It wasn't exactly scary though.

The soundtrack is decent as well.

That film is so funny i couldnt stop laughing anytime i seen a zombie. The first time he gets chased in the church place it looks like something out of thriller lol :D

Yea, went to a special screening in Newcastle with the writer and Director, thought it was good. Interesting chat afterwards..... Apart from one N00b at the front who kept asking ****e questions.

Is that the ending when he
    dies?

If that was the ending you were talking about, I thought it was crap!

I liked this film a lot. Far better than the resident evil movie. The ending was a bit poor i thought but definitely enjoyed it.

No way, Resident Evil was way better. It had zombies AND Mila Jokavich!

i loved this film , it wasnt particularly scary or anything but of all the films ive seen in the cinema's in the last coupla years this is one of the ones that definitely stands out. i thought the scenes

    Great film :D

I loved the twist, courtesy of the scots soldier's little rant near the end.

But my g/f made a very interesting observation. Being english, and having lived in london for a few years, she made the point that seeing london like /that/ was in itself very unsettling. which really adds to the overall impression the film leaves :D

Yea the empty london was rather....... odd. Excellent film tho I thought.

how the hell did they manage to pull that empty london trick off was it real or digitised

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,373 ✭✭✭Executive Steve

it was 90% real... they just had to make sure that they only wewnt out filming really early in the morning when it wasnt busy... they used digital video cameras for all the shooting so they werent encumbered by too much gear and could start and stop relatively swiftly.

In the commentary of the DVD, they were saying it was very hard, from the day trippers to the late night clubbers (and them getting out of the clubs very early in the morning) and then to the early birds who have to go to work at around 5am or something.

Thought it was an excellent film, fast zombies!!!! excellent!!!
The disturbing part i thought was him hacking the
little boy in the shed to piece's
    and didn't blink an eye!!

I can't believe so many people thought that film was great !!! It was a pile of shíte imo. Fast zombies  The fact that there were 2 actors from Dream Team in it says it all. It's not even close to being as good as the classic zombie flicks, my favourite being Braindead by Peter jackson, which pisses on that 28 Days Later cack. It's far funnier, there's tonnes more blood and guts and it doesn't have Scott Lucas from Dream Team running around like an idiot.

I really enjoyed this, was very surprised when I saw it.

One of me mates (he's 30+) actually had nightmares about the infected geezer the soldiers had tied up:D

i agree, braindead is class, but 28 days later isn't bad. and i don't know the exact figures but braindead used about 500 gallons of fake blood. now there's an incentive to see a film :D

I disagree. It's more realistic if they are faster and it makes it more scarier.
The scene when you see the shadows of the infected coming around the corner of the tunnel and then loads of rats are running away too is a good scene:D

Oh yeah by the way Braindead is a great film:D :D My FAVOURITE character is that fu<ked up baby :D:D:D
The other Peter Jackson movie....em...what is it now...Bad Taste was a bit of a let down:(

Bad Taste was a bit of a let down

Bad Taste was a no budget film which took a few friends almost four years to complete. What were you expecting, Lawrence of Arabia?

I never said I was expecting a masterpiece and I know it was a B movie, so was Braindead (I think). But since Braindead was so good I had high hopes for Bad Taste but they took my hopes and squased them into the earth like a snail LOL only messing it wasn't that bad.
