whenever i sign into msn messenger, i click on the box that pops up tellin me i have (x) new messages. however this brings me to a page asking me to pay £14.99 a month for extra storage. anyone else having these problems?

if this isnt the best place please move it.

    No...

Then again that's what you get for using hotmail. And I'm sure since you aren't paying for the service you can't really complain about being directed to a page that asks you to pay.

I saw this happening recently aswell. Whenever the user went to hotmail.com, this bloody annoying "Hotmail only costs $X per year" page came up, no hint of a login dialog or anything. I suspected it might be a once-off advertising kinda thing and didnt take much notice but whenever I go to hotmail on my own laptop it comes up fine. Hugely confused Ted.

no it's not the msn popup you get when you connect to msn, it's the "Welcome to hotmail, it only costs $X per year to sign up" screen you get when you go to www.hotmail.com

To be honest when I go to hotmail.com I get the sign in sheet. Maybe the internet thinks you're a cheap skate?!

    Get a decent e-mail provider,
I would suggest http://www.myrealbox.com only for Novell don't take any new sign-ups anymore

Shame really, its a excellent service

I had no problems with hotmail this weekend, never even seen that 'Hotmail costs €x' page before.
If you have MSN messenger try logging into that first, when it opens there a link to take you to your new mail.
