heatsink fan question

    Can i remove the heat sink fan in order to clean the Heatsink ?

    and if you can what do you lot use to clean the heatsink ?

    Yes, just unscrew it or remove the clips. I use a paintbrush to clean heatsinks but I completely remove them first, in case the bristles create any static. If you remove the cpu heatsink, you should replace the thermal compound before refitting.
