At last some good news from EJ. Now hopefully he'll ee sense and bring in McNish ( his experience with Renault in the testing environment would be vital to the development of the EJ04 ).

Now to get a decent engine !!!

Apparently Jordan will have the same engine as Jaguar this year....

Now if the car isn't a dog, I forsee a better season! :D

OOOH An identical engine to the Jag :D ....more good news ( hadnt heard that )

Will they be getting identical updates of said engine tho ??

And if they are it raises extremely interesting questions about the future viability of the Jaguar F1 team , are Ford just going to produce engines in future ?? Do they see the Jag team as a money draining leech (especially with Fords well documented cash problems ) ?? will they pull Jag out of F1 or sell the team ??

Please be the last one !! Theres nothing more embarrasing as seeing a team bleat on about achieving greatness only for them to achieve utter mediocraty ( Kinda like watching Liverpool FC - and I'm a reds fan ):ninja:

So, whose the other going to be?

I reckon McNish is higher up the list than Firman.

Same, McNish would be better too, IMO.

It all depends on the performance of the car though.
Despite Fisi being a sulky brat for most of last year, he did pull out flashes of brilliance that were unremarkable overall due to a horrible car and poor engine.

We know Heidfeld can be fast, and the same for McNish, but if the car is as fundamentally poor as it was last year, then they are scuppered either way.

The newest spec of Jag engine will make a difference, but if they are still getting gear boxes from Cadburys, and suspension parts from Mr Kipling, then they could have Juan Fangio beside Jim Clarke and they still wouldn't beat off the Minardis.
