I got one from the Prince of Nigeria looking to leave $5m in my bank account for just a little while until the unrest in his country died down. I was to be "rewarded greatly".

All I had to do was send him my bank details... :dunno:

Yeah I get at least one of these everyday. If I did them all I'd be a multi billionaire by now!

I got one of the nigerian ones the other day...

    It started off.
    Dear Rock Climber
Thank God we have found you :D

They are the 419 scams , theres a site somewhere , and a guy follows them up and plays the game and actually ends up conning money out of the fraudsters.

Now why would a ukranian want a mobile phone and a laptop - sounds like an ideal present for a cracker - and very untracable. Or he'll sell it for vodka, just like he did with that PDP-11 I sent him last year - cost a bloody fortune in postage took ages to wrap an all.

If you give in to him, there will be others and we will all get spammed - forward on a 419 letter to him I'm sure they can come to an arrangement.

You could pretty much substitute Ukraine for Ireland and it would be true:)
Did anyone ever go to the site setup by this guy (cant remember the address) who spends hours replying to spam like this? some of the stuff is hilarious
