I don't think he did anything wrong... all parties involved were in agreement.

He's obviously a bit disturbed though and needs help... but he shouldn't be going to prison.

Personally i dont think this a big thing at all, the man resigned himself to death, had the guy found the corpse as a suicide vistim and eaten it, would people object so much?

The guy (who was eaten) definatly had some mental problems, so you can't expect him to make proper decisions about his life. The guy probably would of killed anyone who came to his house, regardless of consent.

i was explaining this to my gf on the bus tonight, i was saying that the guy shouldn't be in prison but in an institution,, then some guy just interrupted and said i was talkin bollox and that it was pre-meditated murder, end of story!! but he didn't seem to grasp the reasons behind my saying this,,, he couldn't understand the difference between a guy who goes and kills any random person and a guy that finds a person who actually consents to being killed.....

and also, how rude of him to interrupt my conversation, people these days, wot a bunch of ****!!:D
