Anyone know why scorpions do this? Is it a case of the alcohol causes them pain/irritation and they try to remove it with the only thing that'll reach their back i.e. their tail? Or is it something completely differant.

don't know if it's inappropriate or not, after all how many penguin eating kids can get hold of pure alcahol and a scorpion? not sure if i could and i'm a big kid.

i'm guessing it just does what it does to people, but that instead of passing out on the bathroom floor with kebab sauce down it's front and dog ends in it's pockets, the alcahol affects its brain in such a way it makes it suicidal.

kinda like when you half kill a wasp. they seem hell bent on sucking the poison off their own stings to finish the job.

either way, it might be interesting to see it.

that's a pretty interesting fact.
on a slightly-less-relevant-to-the-thread note, the ultimate way to eat a penguin bar is to take a small bite out of one corner, and then take another small bite off the corner at the other end and on the other side of the bar (so it's diagonal) then place one of the holes into tea/coffee/preferred hot drink and suck so the drink goes inside the bar making it all melted and squishy and then eat it.
it's the business, and the only useful thing i learned from my first ever job.... nyom!

I know, I've tried both. Only option is throwing them out a window over a cliff in your slipper (yes, I did).

Other interesting facts about scorpions: They can run really fu*k'n fast, much faster than you'd expect and can clime naked skin no problem. ANd killing them with a shoe is a basta*d and a half to do.

And pengiun bars are great. Espically with a cold glass of milk.
