Well, I might only be 16, but I want to have a fair idea of what i want to do when i leave school, before i leave school, and, when I asked my guidance teacher in school if i could drop chemistry, she asked me what I wanted to get into, so I told her computers, and she said that if I give up chemistry, I'd be "closing off" one of my options.

Is it true that if I give up chemistry I'd be "closing off" one of my options?

    also..

I was looking to do the CCNA/CCNP. Would I need chemistry to do it?

    Thanks.

Are you doing any other "Science" subjects?
She probably means that you will be cutting down on your college choices as a lot of technical courses (Science:D, engineering, some Computer Science) require that you have taken a Science Subject for the leaving.

No, I'm not doing anymore science subjects. I was never a fan of science :o

Natually it depends on the course/college you eventually attend, but where I went first year included, economics, accountancy and physics. Having only done economics (as a filler subject when I repeated) - it would have been a great help to have done some accountancy and physics beforehand too.
