Ignoring the terrible chidlish image for one second.. why has he stuck around for two years then? Why is the words "has become" in the thread title? I think its quite a sad state of affairs that people can be turned off from these forums due to over enthusiastic moderation and admining, and obviously people feel that that is the case... although I do believe on some of the more serious boards it is required and welcomed by the majority of posters.

In fairness ColinM, I do believe that there is a serious point underlying your humorous pic.

There is of course a need for moderation, and moderation is, of its very nature, neccessarily subjective. However, there are numerous instances of overzealous, selfimportant moderation on boards.ie. I accept this as a weakeness of the system, but I don't consider it defensible, and I certainly don't consider it worth getting worked up about as some of your respondents seem to have done.

One option would be to create a extra few forums that allow cursing and all that other stuff that someof these people want.
They sould not contain Racasim or long pointless threads of slagging.

There is no real need for that though. I personley like the fact that slagging is not tolerated, howeaver the admins should be slightly more clear on 1 point.

What is this forums defination of spamming.
Other forums (and me) define it as

1.The posting of the same topic many times for no reason but to annoy others
2.The posting of total irrelvent stuff. ex. GFSGSGSS DHHHHHHEETHTH YYWHJJUEJ
3.Is just posting " " in a post considerd spamming?
4.The posting of unreleated things. Example In the star trek forum posting about Faverate food. Or in the after hours forum posting about work ect.

Interesting note: Spam is a meat made from pork Spamming is the process of making that meat.

But in reality what does boards.ie consider spamming to be?
