    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has done/is doing the Higher Diploma in education in Trinity with the intention of using it to get into teaching? I know someone that has been thinking about this having just completed a degree in a totally unrelated area..

A couple of questions we are unsure of:

    1. Is this a more difficult route to take that doin a full education course...

    2. is there less credibility for someone that has taken the HDip route than the normal way when it comes to getting a teaching job..

    3. Does it only qualify you for teching in certain areas/schools - eg. Vocational Colleges/applied leaving cert courses etc...
