There can't be a levy, they were imposed on goods bought from the companies registered in Ireland and Britain.

There may be an application of VAT since you haven't bought from inside the EU, that's about the only charge to worry about (and I believe that for small value goods sent in the post they do not worry about this...)

The levy smacks of rampant protectionism, if the sellers here can't keep up then why should we be forced to prop up their business?

Grrr. IRMA were involved in the suit too. That's why we in Ireland have to pay the levy. Now it may have been at the behest of the BPI, but it's the fault of IRMA! Now are you happy that the swindling scumbags recognise us as an independent nation?
