What'd be helpful is if you actually posted what channel you're talking about....

Is it Network 2? They already have that time slot and it's not "new" anymore than this weeks was.

Is it Channel 4? If so then remember to thread carefully with the word "new" - it's not remotely new to all of us who saw it on E4 months ago.

Is it on E4? No of course not. They showed the season already and there are NO new episodes left to air currently.

    It's channel 4 - series 3 episode 1.
As ixoy said they are not new, E4 showed them months ago.
The new series starts in the US in early March, E4 will probably start to show them late summer.

I will have to stay away from this thread so I dont know what happens!!

Got Sky in 3 weeks into the run on E4 and deliberatly didnt watch it so I could see it in full on Ch4.

Ch4 are a bit early showing this now, they normally hold it until late Spring or so, still not complaning!

I hope they don't announce a Season 4 too soon. They need a MAJOR rethink after season 3.

What was wrong with S3? I quite enjoyed it.

The first episode of season 3 was awful but the season got better towards the end.

I'll respectfully disagree - I think the first episode works perfectly but for reasons I can't state for those who ain't seen it...

Season 3 was way too whiny. It was like Dawson's Creek when it all went terribly wrong. There was something definitely missing from the first two seasons.

I assume you mean there was something missing that was in the first two seasons. What I liked about season 3 is that:
The town started off serene and dream like. The season was about the deconstruction of the dream, facing up to realities or - in the case of Ruth - trying to lose yourself in a hopeful dream. That's why it all came crashing down by the end. I don't think it was particularly whiny - it just went to dark places. OK, so we could easily accuse Nate of moaning but the fact is we weren't meant to empathise with him - this was made abundantly clear by his pathetic state towards the end and his family's anguish.
