Just seen it, all be it, it was not at the cinema however I want to express my utter disgust

The 1st film had some moderate laughs, the 2nd was down right awful and this 3rd installment is down right ****ing abismal :)

    Just my 2cents

Since you saw this during the day, I imagine you were in a cinema with no more than 10 other people.... Its better to see it in a full house.

I thought it was better than the first two movies...

TmB perhaps you should actually take a second off your time and read my post ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,571 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

    Heh... worse still.
You were watching it on your own? :)

Watch it with a crowd, ffs... you'll enjoy it more. Laughter is infectious....

just out of the cinema. pretty goddamn packed for 2pm weekday showing.

the film, ugh. it had so much more going for it than the two previous. better material to spoof, and the addition of oldschool screwball greats Nielsen and Charlie Sheen. but, it just wasnt funny enough. on a par with the two other scary movies, id say.

Possibly the worst movie EVER. Dont even give it the satisfaction of watching a pirate copy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 353 ✭✭Boberto

    Yeah it sucked!!

    Big letdown...
Leslie Nielson's part was a waste of time

it can't have been as bad as paycheck.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 593 ✭✭✭Grom

Had some funny bits but overall was crap. The bit at the end with the Ring bird and "family" *shudders*

    [copyright piracy is bold :)]

On a side note want to see runaway jurey but is it any good ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,450 ✭✭✭AngelofFire

I enjoyed it. it was better than the 2nd one but not as good as the first one. the first half hour or so was awful the gags were so generic. but it got funnier. Leslie nielson was great in it. The imitations of Signs and The ring were ingenious

I was going to see it with a friend but she was sick so we said on sat or sun.
You would actualy be suprised how packed movies are during the day but the funyies thing i remember was (it was 2 years ago now) Myself and a friend took the day off school and we where in town (this was the day epsiode 2 was released) and we decided to chace our look. Virgin ciniam (now UGC) was empty everyone assumed it would be booked out so noone went there must have 1/2 the seats empty it was so funny.

Yes ROFL LOOOOL ROFL LOL i can see how majesticaly funny that is

OMG I didn't like it!!! (now that's saying something ;))
I loved the first two, but he third had too many big name actors who brought nothing too it. Some OTT scenes which made me laugh but the inbetween bits bored me to tears.

I didn't find that michael jackson scene funny at all!, kinda funny when said "eww a girl" but hanging over the rail was too much, just NOT funny.

I wish I had read this thread before now!
I went to see it on Monday...COMPLETE RUBBISH
I thought the 1st one was great. The 2nd one was alright.
But the 3rd is just terrible. They showed all the funniest bits in the trailer. I hate when they do that.

Yes, I'm sure the film companies are clamouring to garner your praise...the PC piracy tout who watches comedy movies alone. Yar har har indeed.

I saw this the other day... Dear god, what utterly ****e rubbish!

As everyone said, all the funny bits were in the trailer.

But, ffs! They spent far too long trying to spoof 8 Mile and The Matrix.
What on earth was the ****ing point!?

Will Ferrel accomplished a far, far more complete spoof in a 5 minute sketch for MTV than this entire film!
After that, this piss-poor piss-take is completely redundant.
Who could top "...could you beleive they wanted to call it 'Highway Crossing Frog'?"

Utterly derivative ****e of the lowest form.
I feel dirty that I sat through it, instead of hitting my head untill I lost all memory of this film ever having existed.

yes, yes it is, great film, didn't bother with scary movie 3 seen as the other two were so bad

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,177 ✭✭✭oneweb

First one was great, second one I just couldn't get into, and I tried a few times, was rubbish :( The third, however, was completely ridiculous. It was great! :D:):p Leslie Neilson's bit could've been bigger tho, he's always great!

    It is what it's.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,177 ✭✭✭oneweb

Jaysus ppl, yer (mostly) a bunch of humourless gits! Lighten up a bit? The whole point is that it's meant to be rubbish!

    It is what it's.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,905 ✭✭✭User45701

I thought that it had one or 2 very very funny lines.

Secreat servise guy: "Mr. Presidant you gone totaly insane!"
    Presidant: "Like a Fox!"

If it was a good spoof that would be valid but its a rubbish spoof, so its just rubbish.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,651 ✭✭✭Spunog UIE

Thought it was total ****, except the michael jackson bit, somehow managed not to see that bit in the trailors on tv, so loved that. Think its funny the kids getting bet up...probally because my estate is infested with little squeally sprogs...who now have mopeds...stop the reving GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...anyhew...

Loved the first two and this just wasn't 'scarey movie'.

Exactly! One thinks they expected a comedy like "Groundhog Day"! There were other funny moments too: when Syndey gets startled by the sound of the boat moving away from the next scene, for example. Or the hilariously named Shayman (the guy who ran down Sheen's wife) - that made me giggle :D

I saw t last night and I thought there were some bits that were extremly funny

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,553 ✭✭✭✭Dempsey

Some bits were funny but most was crap. Better than the second but the first was the best without a doubt. 2 of my friends fell asleep and i was sprawled across the seats with my eyes barely open.:D

Shawn and Marlon Wayans must be smart, they avoided this one.
Although there were funny parts to this film, most of it was crap. I liked the first two but not this one.
Why was 8 Mile even spoofed? It's not a horror.

i thought that scary movie 3 was absolute rubbish and i dont understand why they put eight mile in to the movie because it isnt a horror and i agree with all the people who say that.

IMO a total waste of money.
