For the record, the center of Europe is located in Lithuania as far as I'm aware.

Depends on whether you define europe as going as far as the Urals or...not.

You could take the West - the bit that was in Roman empire / was never islamic / went through the reformation / renassance etc.. ie. includes poland but not including Russia.

If it's a united Europe you'd end up with a movable capital .. changed every year so the Eurocrats could claim expenses :D

    Paris definitely.

Yeah, I voted for Paris too. I think it's the city that non-Europeans automatically think of when they think of Europe. London is probably the most well known but I don't think it's centralised enough, nor are its citizens conducive to the idea of being Europeans.

I said Europe! It imposes less constraints than 'EU' and assuming EU expansion continues, could eventually mean the same thing anyway. Not that anyone is going to vote for anything East of Warsaw anyway mind.

Ditto for Paris and the French, come to think of it.

Prague would be good, or Zurich

Brussels already has the infrastructure so it would be there. If it wasn't for that though... London is the most important city in Europe, but factoring in centrality then Frankfurt. It's relatively central, and is the most important city in Germany. Prague is catching up very quick on London, Paris & Frankfurt though!

Hmmm its a tough one, Id say paris, but parisians and the french are a bit too hostile towards their european neighbours.Berlin could be good, but ww2 sentiments would create too much hassle.Prague is a beauty, but I went for amsterdam, cos its the most international, got the best bars outside ireland (imho) and coffee shops would be a godsend after a busy days beauraceaucy.Id say galway, but were planning on relocating to south-east asia soon as we get those big ass orbital lasers in place to do the cutting.

Brussels makes the most sense for, as already pointed out, it has the infrastructure for coping with Europe-wide governance and also the social infrastructure to deal with polyculturism is an effective and totally inclusive way

    Barcelona!?

I bet some thick says Dublin. Well I haven't checked the first page, maybe it's already posted. They would be the same people complaining that the pointless
Irish language should be recognized by the EEEEEYEW.

BRUSSELS. The capital for Europe is BRUSSELS.

I would doubt that it would be any of the cities listed in the poll as they are all already national capitals and as such there would be a conflict as one would overshadow the other. Most likely it would be a secondary city such as Strasburg, Milan, Barcelona or Munich. There are arguments to be made for it to be a small city too, as it would be easier to reshape into a capital then.

Were the Swiss part of the EU, I’d almost guarantee it would be Geneva; otherwise it’s frankly anybody’s guess.

I have to agree, and as a matter of fact I think that Geneva should be tha capital anyway as it is on neutral ground.
