I've found a dog in Dublin city centre; obviously a pet. If he might be yours, post up here and I'll tell you where to pick him up.

The vets in Charlemont Street have a photo of the dog on a mobile phone, but it's a new phone and its owner doesn't yet know how to email the picture from the phone - if anyone can tell me, I'll get the pic and post it up here.

OK, the owner's found - the dog escaped from his home in Leeson Street yesterday and broke his nametag.

Oh, and the owner's now going to get him microchipped, which you can do at the same time as having an animal neutered or spayed, and doesn't cost much; the first thing the vet did was scan for a chip and shake his head.

If your dog (or cat) has a microchip, it can be tracked back to you from anywhere across Europe.

Fair play man. Thats was a nice thing you did. I bet the owner was extremely grateful.
