I am am applying for a Kitchen Porter job (I know  ) and I have to get my CV faxed in by tomorrow morning because that is when my sister leaves for work and I can't think of anywhere else with a fax machine.

Anyway if I was to send a letter at least I can send it to the name of the person I would be applying to but what do I do for a fax? Also, what should I say in the cover letter and how do I present it? Bare in mind, I only know it is a hotel in Baggot Street and don't even know what hotel it is. :(

    Please Help.

    Thanks very much in advance!

Thanks a lot Victor, I really appreciate the help.

Now, which one should I send with the CV, the one with the address on the left or right? Also, is there anything else I should add?

Find a sample fax template attached - hopefully this will help also.

just as an aside and a bit of a useful tip for people, try not to add 'please find the attached file' when you re doing this sort of thing.

its not a contest! they should have to 'find' things. a lot of people dont like that.

just say, i have attached my CV for your consideration.

I normally go with centre justified, but would consider right justified OK. Left justified can be difficult to read if only one font is used.

CAPS LOCK will get your CV binned for any office jobs.

True, but I'm not sure if people usually inspect the fax cover sheet with a fine tooth comb these days. They just scan for 'To' 'From' 'Subject' and maybe the time sent.
    Probably not vitally important.
