Did anyone else find Carnivale quite disturbing in parts this week. I'm thinking particularly of the scene in Mr Chins, especially in the current climate.

A little but I suppose it's on after the watershed (if we have a such a thing any more).

I starting watching it about ten minutes into the that episode, so it took a while to figure out that there was more to it than what initially meets the eye.

Yeah, the Mr. Chin scene was disturbing but you know it's post-watershed material from US cable channel, HBO. It was meant to be disturbing and evil - it worked. The show is VERY well made and I'm really interested in it. Anyone else expect the Carnie dwarf man to start dancing backwards at any moment? :D

I dunno if I'd consider any of the show truly distrubing knowing it's all fake, but the bit with the kid in Mr. Chins was pretty stomach-churning all the same.

Since this *IS* HBO, I have to wonder where the hell the gay sex is though ;)
