Im just after moving away from tipp town and am now living in Co. Kildare between Kildare town and Newbridge. Just would like to know is there a good martial arts club around the area. If possible Ju-Jitsu but I got an open mind as long as it aint Judo(don't like it).

    Anyway cheers,

There are plenty of classes/ clubs around the Newbridge area. There's a guy by the name of Gerry Loftus who seems to have a couple of different classes in Newbridge and The Curragh. If you drop into the Fitness Centre in the Standhouse Hotel (just drive around the back) on the Curragh then there are usually notices up on the noticeboard detailing classes. There are also Karate classes (Shotokan I believe) at Newbridge sports centre and there are kick-boxing classes in Scoil Muire in Newbridge also.

    Hey 'dere,

I'm running classes in Rathangan at the moment - which is pretty close Newbridge and Kildare. But there's no sporting applications to be honest, it's more geared towards the self-protection end of things.

This will give you an idea in case you might be interested:
