Did you think that this movie was a disappointment. I did that's why I ask.

I mean it started of well and seems Intriguing but then the twist is just blaaaa. And will there be a squel ending? uhhh.

I enjoyed it. It was pretty original, you'll have to give them that.

I really liked the first half of the movie, but then yeah, the twist did nothing for me. I'd half guessed it anyway.

Started off great, but finished like a sub standard episode of the x-files.
Has anybody seen the alteranate ending on the dvd?
I wonder is it any better/worse?

    I loved Identity.
Twenty minutes into the film, I had guessed the 'twist', but still had a giant grin on my face when they finally unravelled it, just because of the way they pulled it off.

Plus, I have a major boner for both Clea DuVall and Pruitt Taylor Vince, so I was in hog heaven with this movie.

Not as dissapointing as The Matrix Revolutions/Reloaded but still v.dissapointing due to the lack of any surprise as you've figured it out 20-40mins into the film.

Same here. A surprise twist is overrated. I always feel much better when I guess it before hand anyway. IMO it makes a sh!t film if there are no clues as to what's really going on. It would just be boring.

I missed this in the cinema, so I was going to order it on DVD.
But after reading this thread, I'm kinda glad I didn't bother.

Oh my yes, I think Clea DuVull is quite something... But I think this is down to the fact that I once went out with a girl who was exactly like her! Or more like the pouty bitch she was in The Faculty.

    Thumbs down for this one.
The annoying thing was that all the way through I was on the edge of my seat.
When I figured out halfway through the sh*t they were trying to pull I was "nah. Surely not".

And at the end I was "Get me the F*ck outta here!"

Big Disappointment. John Cusack is one of my fav actors so it was even more annoying!

I liked this film, and definitely wouldn't say it's a disappointment.

Although, John Cusack needs to cut down on his mascara-usage :)

I have to say i quite enjoyed this movie, regardless of guessing the 'twist' i thought it was a great idea for a script and they carried it off pretty well. I'd recommend everyone to have a look at it, worth renting in my opinion.

Guessing where a movie is going halfway through or at the very start is no reason to dismiss a film or even to disparage it. If that was the case you'd never go back and re-watch old movies. So with that in mind tis worth a gander, not the most ground breaking or excellent movies but a departure from the usualt thriller/horror cack you see these days.

    my 2 cents

    Dakeyras,

I generally figure films out half way through. That didn't annoy me. What annoyed me was the ending not the fact that I figured it out.
Just wanted to clear that up!:)

no prob, i got what you were saying i just wanted to clear up that ickle point. guessing the twist seemed to be getting to be the point for saying the movie was cack when guessing it doesnt make a difference, but as you say not liking it does make a difference. we just differ on what we happen to think of the movie though :D

I enjoyed it. Not what I expected at all.

The first half had me kind of groaning because it was a perfectly cheesy B-horror, the kind of film I hate. The twist though kind of added something to it, so I enjoyed it overall.

Although I had guessed the ending once the twist came since I had that half of it figured out at least.

    Not great, but entertaining.
