Ive never bothered using outlook express, but decided to give it a try the other day. Problem is, i dont know how to set up my e-mail address/account to it.

can anyone help? i think its to do with having the wrong http address put in. Im using yahoo from webpages at the moment.

If your account is an @yahoo.com they stopped free pop3 access about a year ago.

If it's an @yahoo.ie or @yahoo.co.uk account your pop server is pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk (don't put http in anywhere) for receiving.

Smtp server for sending is smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk I presume (I just use mail.iol.ie)

For my one yahoo.com address I use YahooPOPS to retrieve the mail into Outlook. I don't know if there's a version for Outlook Express but you'll find it on sourceforge.com

theres a list of programs that do this kinda thing in sourceforge, just go to sourceforge.net and search for yahoo.com , and all those programs should pop up. I'm waiting for one author to release an updated version that works with the new mail.com layout.
