Bye bye Vodafone - new All Ireland Tariff

Today Vodafone announced their wonderful "new" tariffs for all Ireland roaming:

    http://www.vodafone.ie/phonestariffs/ourtariffs/paymonthly/irlwide/faqs.jsp

They obviously pooled their best brains and !wow! after promising this for 3 months decided to up the bills by €5 if you want to avoid the extortionate charges for crossing the boder.

    * Only applies to bill customers (same as O2)
    * Going by the FAQ they say that calls made in the North do not come from your "inclusive minutes" which means that you can't use your tariff minutes up whilst up North - O2 provide this option

What a joke, and imagine I waited for this before jumping to O2 - bye bye vodafone.

If only O2 would provide a tariff between the €15 and €30 options I would be completely sold.

It looks like Minister Ahern isn't too impressed with the new tariff either:

    That wasn't very nice. I'm hurt. :(

And it's very off-topic. In an attempt not to get banned, I will now use the following generic 'mobile' terminology:

    Phone
    Crap
    Coverage
    Crap
    Roaming
    Crap
    Price
    Crap
    Vodafone
    Scum
    etc.,
    etc.

What network are you on? Don't have much conviction now do we? ;)

    vodafone coverage is good
the only reason i'm with them is cause of the free voicemail tbh. I never have credit :)

Have to say I find them very exensive. No matter what my usage I always seem to be out of my free minutes every month. I'd love to write an app to analyze my bill in more detail. Vodafones coverage is better than O2 though.
