One of the Dell machines you spec'ed has a Pentium M CPU, the Toshiba is a P4M. The PM is much more expensive, but faster and offers better battery life.

There was a thread about this here 2 weeks ago, it appeared the Dell offered the best value (remember to save yourself E300 by reducing the warranty). Dells prices seem the go up and down every day, so what was true then may not be now.
