Well if it's a Spanish lottery, why are they writing to you in English?

Notice how the (variables) are in (brackets). Dodge, verrrry dodge. Don't waste any more time bothering about it. Also, if it was real letterhead, the image would never be such sh!t quality.

    It is what it's.

I herd this on 2fm just before xmass. its some nigerian scam 2 blokes in spain are sending out these letters to people all over europe, i herd this while i was on nite shift on the jerry ryan show some woman actually sent 20k over to them needless to say she won no money and never saw the 20K again as her check for the lotto was "lost in the post" and they required more money from her so she sent more money again over to them,

by the time she relaized what was going on and she wasnt going to get the money it was too late, so good old jerry called these two blokes up on the phone (at 2am in the morning, of course this could have been a repet from the morning as i have no idea what time the jerry ryan show airs live at) and demands to know whats going on they hand up everytime he calls was great to listen too.

so there you have it a really long answer to a really short question.

AVIOD IT LIKE THE PLAGUE ITS A SCAM!!

God help us. There has to be some sort of Darwinian process of Natural Selection goin' on with these gullible fools. They're either exceptionally greedy, exceptionally desperate or exceptionally thick to fall for these things  Perhaps all of the above.

    It is what it's.

Actually, someone should ring the number, tell whomever at the end of the line that you are on their way over tomorrow, with a contingent of the Irish media, to personally collect the cheque, since the story of winning the lotto is a big rags-to-riches story in Ireland.

Record the conversation and post it here :D

    Bullshit

you just happened to win a lotto....

    i like seamus's plan btw

    Spain's King is Juan Carlos.

    I also like seamus's idea.

How much does ringing Spain with a Meteor sim-chip cost per minute. I'd do it for the shi7 & giggles :p

Heard about this a while ago.
The Spanish lotto even went public telling people we do not send out asking for money if you win.
How do people fall for these things ?
No such thing as a free lunch anymore.

The number's probably billed at 50 quid a second too.

Screw evolution, if that woman really did lose 20k on this, she should be sterilised immediately to prevent idiots being spawned in future.

I feel sorry for people who lose money to these bastards, but for the majority of cases if they weren't greedy bastards they wouldn't have gotten in any trouble in the first place. www.419eater.com is a good site for pulling the piss out of these lads.
