Goit this mail today [Interesting) :D

    Dear Sir,

I am Ahu Jaja, a solicitor with the (MTN) Nigerian

Limited One of the G.s.m telecommunication Company in nigeria.

On the 10th day of July, 2002.one Expertriate,of
the same nationality with you, working as a technical contract staff at the

Abuja, a subsidiary of the body (MTN), lost his life on his way

to kaduna from Abuja on a ghastly motor accident, along with his wife and

children who later gave up at the Abuja general hospital. Before his death,

the deceased has a deposit with a Bank worth $35,000,000.00

dollars. as his attorney and since I am the only one who
    knows about the

deposit, I went to the Bank to make the claim and was told
    that

the only one who can claim this money is his "NEXT OF KIN".
    Since you bear the

same surname with the deceased that is why I am writing to
    you so that you

can help me claim this money. I was told by the Bank that
    immediately I

present the beneficiary, the money will be released to the
    person within 10

working days after I have filed in for claims. As a matter
    of fact 25% of the

money will be given to you, while 10% will be mapped out
    for expenses we may

incure in processing the release of the fund.
Please, I will like you to acknowledge the receipt of this
    email as soon as

possible, while you also include your telephone and fax number
    for easycommunication.

    Your sincerely,

    DEAR.AHU JAJA (ESQ)

Worked for me. I'm now 40,000,000 dollars richer for helping an Albanian politician transfer his funds to London so he could access them from Canada via a satellite in geostationary orbit over an AIB in Tipperary and thus afford the life saving surgery his dear father was so desperately in need of, but couldn't get at home due to political instability...

Nope. Uncle Sam has a fair selection of spy sats that can be routed to cross most points of the "Evil Empire" ( that's anywhere outside of the USA)

    Sarcasm aside:

These emails are well known. Nigerians are the main perpetraitors and they send emails like the one above looking for fees for solicitors/to release some imaginary capital. What happens is that the unwary person who falls into this trap is asked for thousands upfront, then some weeks later, more and more money and after the criminal has got enough, you never hear from them again. There was a documentary on the BBC not long ago about these scams, and it's amazing how many people get lured in.

I would report it to interpol if I were you. And then reply telling him to shove the "money" up his a*se. :D

I remember about a year ago, TheReg (or a similar website), did a feature where they replied to one of these scam emails and followed it up. The email transcripts were very good, they never got any money of course.

Its sounds very scamola to me. It reminds me of the time when I bought magic beans off a Nigerian, but it turned out the beans weren’t magic at all, and the Nigerian was in fact Senegalese.

You may ask yourself, "Whats better than receiving such a humourous email?". Try looking at this site. They 'bait' these scammers to pay them back. There's even awards for the best scams! :D

For example, these guys got this Nigerian scammer-fella to travel something like 6000 miles in offer of a job in a US company. Of course he had to use his savings to travel and pose in a series of hillarious pictures to prove his authenticity, then after about 3 weeks of him living on the streets (and about 3 months of baiting him) waiting for such and such an executive to arrive they finally let him have it. Fúcking hillarious read. I'll go searching for the link now. If I find it I'll post it up! :)

There should be some good stuff on that there site to laugh at tho! :D That'll sort em all out, one by one! :)
