Just a heads up. The new HBO show - 'Carnivale' - begins this Friday @ 21:20 on TG4. It's set in a travelling circus in the mid-20s/mid-30s. Apparently got somewhat of a "Twin Peaks" vibe to it. It's gotten brilliant reviews and - from what I've heard - is DEFINETELY worth checking out.

Yeah i was going through my sky listings for the coming days and i noticed that Carnivale is on this Fri, i have already set the video for it. Cant wait to see it. I bought the SFX mag last month and they gave the first four episodes 5 stars.

TG4 seem to have got quite a few american imports this month. They started showing One Tree Hill and The OC last Saturday as well.

Yup and they're onto Season 2 of "Without A Trace" from yesterday whereas the Brits are only just about to start Season One! Then there's the excellent "The Wire" which ain't been shown in the UK yet and they're ahead on TG4 with "Curb Your Enthusiasm" to the best of my knowledge.

BBC4 were showing a whole night of Curb your enthusiasm episodes the other night.. i think it was Season Two.

I watch more series on TG4 than I do on RTE. It shows some of the best written shows on TV. I watch CSI: Miami, CSI and Boomtown on RTE but since the latter two seemed to have disappeared from RTE's listings I now only watch one show on RTE. To think that theyve got another license fee increase.

Umm 'CSI: Miami' and 'Boomtown' just finished their run, rather than RTE yanking them early.
Now 'CSI' is a different matter. They showed half of Season 3 and then stopped. Then they showed some old Season 2 episodes in the late night Thursday slot, including the Season 2 finale last night. So what the heck happened to Season 3's second half? I sent them an e-mail yesterday and hope to find out, although I expect the w*nkers won't reply.

Actually it was very good. Well written, extremely well directed, and showing lots of promise. Closest thing to "Twin Peaks" - in terms of mystery - that I've seen in years.

Why the hell don't TG4 make us aware these shows?

They advertised this show so much, it was hard not to go a day with out seeing the add.

Also its called The RTE Guide, TV Now, The Times Mag, The Tribune Mag, IoS Mag.

When are they going to get a full column in the Indo and Hearld???????
