Note that there according to here [1] mandrake 9.2 installs on some Dell SATA if you disable DMA. [1] http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=sw_linux&message.id=3898

Might be worth your while upversioning to 2.6.

afaik it comes with RedHat drivers and some management software.

Dunno what distro I'm going to use yet.
