Just wondering is there anyway you can get bbc3, itv and other channels on sky digital for free. is there some code you enter or something. I heard before that you need a card from england to get the channels but i know a fella who has then without the card.If anybody knows give me an e-mail

Read this thread on the Satellite forum for adding the extra BBCs.

No ITV without a card, at least for the moment (though UTV was free to air for a few days about a fortnight ago). If your friend has no card, he's got no ITV.

Or he's got a UK Sub in which case he has no Irish Channels!

No ITV at the moment on Sky Digital. Plenty of BBC though.

You'll need one of two things to get ITV on your Irish box:

A UK subscription (only good if you can sort yourself out with a UK address). You'll lose the Irish channels if you go this route

    OR

A free to view card, which costs £23.50 from here. Again you'll need to sort yourself out with a friend in the UK whose address the card gets delivered to. You'll have to swap between your sub card and the FTV card to watch ITV/C4/C5. This is what I've done.

ITV may go free to air when their encryption contract with Sky runs out this summer. Then again they may not. If they do the ITV channels will, like the BBCs, be available without a card.

All this info is available on the satellite forum so it's probably the best place to go for help.

MOD EDIT: Thread moved to Satellite forum where you'll probably get more help on the subject.

    :)
