Hi, anyone else having problems with the O2 Speakeasy GPRS ISP service? The pp.internet access point for Web (not WAP) browsing and pop/imap email... it connects assigns IP etc. as usual but that's all... no web or email working (for me anymore)...

Hi, I have the exact same problem. First O2 said there was a problem over the week-end with the access point pp.internet. Now they are saying that it was fixed but my web and mail still don't work. They keep sending me the settings for WAP, but that works fine.

nice to see someone answered (even if it was 16 months later ;))

just tried the Speakeasy SIM in a handset here and was able to connect and transfer data over the pp.internet access point ok. give them a call again and ask them to check you are still set up ok to use the pp.internet access point, and to 're-provision' you if necessary.

    Sorry for the delay :p

I didn't check the date on your post. But this thing just happened to me this week-end. I am a bit annoyed as I rang them twice and they said there is nothing they can do for me anymore and it is my phone that is faulty. I checked my phone with a different SIM card and it works fine. They still say there is nothing wrong with my SIM or my services.

suggest you go into questioning mode (as they probably won't be able to give a reasonable answer and might do something), asking how your phone could have stopped working without any changes being made to it, then how come the services work with another sim in your phone...

suggest they 're-provision' the pp.internet access point for your account to make sure it's ok, if they still holding out politely ask to talk to their team leader / supervisor...
