Contract Work

Does anyone have any examples of Contracts that they have used for contract work in a company?

I have recently advertised to take on one or two freelancers to take up some excess workload on a few projects and I am looking for examples from which to base one on to protect both myself and the contractors I take on. I don't want to miss anything important when writing it.

What points should be stated in the contract?

I've been using a contract that's based off Corel's one for outside contractors (shhh ... it's a secret ) for a few years now, and I know of several other companies at home who have modified it for their own ways. If you like I can email you a copy. To answer your other question, the main points would seem to be:

1. Define the date and parties
2. Conditions of contract
3. Confidential Information
4. Non-Competition (if necessary)
5. Termination (possibly by either party)
6. Indemnification
7. Notice (i.e. official means of contact for both parties)
8. Statement of Work
9. Compensation / Fee Schedules

I've left out quite a few other [mundane, but necessary] details that are all just legal-speak.
