enjoyed the book lots, is one of the more enjoyable insider views of hollywood. haven't got around to seeingt he film of the book, not sure i'm all that bothered. biskind's earlier book (rereleased on the back of the success of the other) was a bit of a let down. it's seeing is believing (how hollywood taught us to stop worrying and love the 50s and as a book about the cold war in cinema, it should be better than it is.

I saw this documentary last night by chance and was completely absorbed in it. the level of detail and fact is amazing and the whole show is really well put together. this is one of the best documentary's ive seen in a long time, it ranks up there with bowling for columbine.
