I have installed Fedora core1 on to my laptop
    works great .
but I have one problem I am connected to home network just workgroup with no domain.
I can connect to windows xp shares machine with no password

I issue this command to see the listing of shares on that machine
    smbclient -L <computer>

    a list comes up example
    Sharename Type Comment
    ----
    E$ Disk Default share
    IPC$ IPC Remote IPC
    D$ Disk Default share
    SharedDocs Disk
    Share HADES Disk
    CD Images Disk
    Films Disk
    Downloads Disk
    F$ Disk Default share
    Music Disk
    ADMIN$ Disk Remote Admin
    C$ Disk Default share

    Server Comment

    Workgroup Master

but my problem is when I try this on a windows 2000 server with password

I use the command the command
    smbclient -L <computername> -U administrator
the command line just appears to Freeze and does not ask
    for password

I have tried using a lower version of samba from Redhat 9
    samba-2.2.7a-7.9.0
    samba-common-2.2.7a-7.9.0
    samba-client-2.2.7a-7.9.0

    and guess what is works
so is this a bug with samba or my config
    Thanks
