I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mind you the goverment would be pissed if you came home in a fully decked out aircarft carrier......you would be more powerful that the army/navy/airforce put together lol :D

100 euro and not a penny more!

    Edit--
But that is not all, the navigation instruments and satellite guidance system and other great instruments cost hundreds of millions of dollars when they were new. You can easily get a lot of money from selling the instruments. Now for a tiny fraction of the original price (which maybe over $ 5 billion US dollars) you can have this wonderful property all for yourself

Thats a compleat piss take though a brand new nimitzs class super carrier costs around 1,3 billion dollors you can bet your ass a 18,000 ton 30-50 year old angle decked carrier wouldnt cost ANYTHING near that

If we Get about €11 from every man woman and child in the Republic of Ireland we can afford it. At the current price of $50,000,100: about 40 million yo-yos.
    I say it'd be a better investment than a spaghetti--mad-cow-junction/roundabout.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,267 ✭✭✭Exit

If we raid Bertie's bank account, we'd probably be able to afford it too.

Strange - now at $50m - but I seem to remember it was on sale at about a tenth of this price earlier in the year.

also IIRC the price of scrap steel here is only about €10 per tonne.

You'd never be able to afford the insurance in this country for it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,001 ✭✭✭Big Ears

ya the carrier would cost 50 million and the insurance would be 850 times that number at least.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Right, I've added up the pledges so far and I think we really should be looking at something more like this -

    214251ORIG.JPG

can you actually be 'made' pay?
i mean, even if they have your cc details, that wont help because you wouldnt have that kind of limit.
Im guessing all they can say is 'pay for it or your not banned from e-bay......ahahahahahahahahaha, your life is ruined', or something.

yea its in the small print of the terms and conditions of Ebay, all bids must be paid for or you forfit your soul, land and first born son (or daughter) to the ebay corp.

If its not too late i'll throw in 10,000 i was gonna buy a car with the money but instead i'll just take one of the F-14 jets to work instead i'll never have to worry about traffic jams again!

    Some problems with F14 commuting.

Planes not included in carrie price
    Parking at work
Costs about €3,000 to fill the tanks
You'll fail the NCT if you use the afterburners

    av-8b.jpg

One of these would be better, a lot easier to park.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,126 ✭✭✭][cEMAN**

www.iwoot.com had an f16 (think that's right) plane for sale. They soon sold out though :P

I think the price was about £250,000 or there abouts. Could have chipped in for that easily enough. Someone to fly the plane and someone to sit in the back with drink trying to hold it down while they do barrel rolls :D

    Newsflash!!!

The L.E. Orla was in collision today with a curragh off the coast of Galway. However the quick acting curragh owner was able to rescue all the crewmembers.

Yea i didnt think of that! i could always just go for a blackhawk helicopter instead instead of a car pool we could have a chopper pool everyone that chips into buying the aircraft carrier* gets a lift to work in the blackhawk from the roof of there house! shouldnt be too hard to find parking for the aircraft carrier ooooo say dublin bay maybe!

*unless of course you live in russia or cuba

Maybe the Harrier ain't such a good ides :(

    http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/news/articles/1214harrier14.html

The Harrier, renowned for its ability to take off and land vertically like a helicopter, has amassed the highest major accident rate of any military plane now in service. Forty-five Marines have died in 148 non-combat accidents. More than a third of the fleet of 397 has been lost to accidents in the 32-year history of the single-seat jet.

PS. Actually it was only 7,000,000 coupons :)
    http://www.law.unlv.edu/faculty/bam/k2001/pepsi.html
At this point, the following message appears at the bottom of the screen: "Offer not available in all areas. See details on specially marked packages." :(

They're all US spec Harriers - in other words too much burger ballast!

Nope... It's a Russian L39 Jet and they're not sold out. They're been selling them for years. £200,000... Was £150,000 a year or two ago.

    L39 Jet

    Enjoy :)
