    Ah, I feel vaguely less sad and pathetic. :)

    My family prefer the bagpipes to Tommy tiernan or Jools Holland, so I'm just concentrating on drinking, playing games, and listening to loud music in an attempt to drown out the horrible banshee wails...

    Man, country bars are so cheap. Had 7 pints for about 22 euro!

    I only had 23 so I was happy!

    They did close pretty early though.

    Can't agree with you on the drinking alone bit, got utterly plastered last nite with mates. Good stuff :)

    Kinda ruined the mood this morning when my cartoons were interrupted by the ads telling me to replace my fire alarm battery or my family will die, and reminding me that child abuse is not nice... :( Charities are not full of festive cheer...

    Now I just need to avoid watching the news or looking at papers today and I may remain optimistic for the next year :D

    Happy new year everyone, hope you all had a good time last night. Everyone at work was out, so we were all completly hungover in work today, except me, for some wierd reason 9 solid hours of drinking failed to produce a hangover :rolleyes: ). Oh God I really need some sleep though:o

    Yes..... after I came in from WORK at 9.15pm I sat watching the closk, then went to bed at 1am as I had WORK again today.
