Dead Ringers has the best lookalikes of any show of that genre on in the UK atm! And not only that, they have brilliant script writers, the show is hilarious. I used to listen to the show on Radio 4 and it's translated to TV brilliantly.

Alistair McGowan is absolutely terrible though, he and Roni never look like the celebrity they're impersonating, and don't exactly hit the mark vocally either. And i've never laughed watching their show.

Dead Ringers has a back catalogue of 9 CD's of radio shows, you can get them in Easons.

The Tom Baker sketches are great because if you know your "Doctor Who" (like me) you'll know that when he speaks of stuff like "Florana" etc he's actually being faithful to the show - he's not talking crap but is really a huge fan of the show. Great for nerds :D

In terms of the program think all credit should go to its direction, they might not be the best lookalikes but its easily one of the funniest celeb shows.

I think your mixing Dead Ringers with the show that was on last night (where Bush named his dog Tony) where its all supposed to be caught by "hidden camera". I can't remember what it is called.

However, Dead Ringers itself is top class entertainment

I think it's Double Take that your thinking of. I must get around to watching it.

BTW it is on UK G2 a few times next week.

    Just to clear things up:

Dead Ringers is a sketch show which
great Watchdog and Newsnight parodies as well as impersonations of Blair talking to people in the street, Ozzy Osbourne, the Welsh newsreader from the BBC news and "President" Bush begins with something like "My fellow armadillos..." :) etc.
It is based on the BBC radio show of the same name.

Double Take is the one with CCTV-style footage of lookalike actors impersonating the Beckhams, the Queen, Bush and Blair and other famous people usually doing embarrassing things when they think no one is watching.

    "God Bless Pancakes!"

"You know Colin Powell came up to me and said 'you have to get the UN resolution...' And I said WHATEVER!"
"Cause this is my United States of WHATEVER!"

Ahhhh I was on the floor!
