On a side note, who here doesnt have Shadows of Undrentide and intends/wants to play, drop a note down before 7:00pm so I can finalise on the module to be played.

Hopefully we'll get things kicked up and running again on the NWN front now that we've a new server going into IOL.

Fudge.. I installed a copy of Underdark using a fake cd-key and now i cant play online. I think i have NWN installed on my laptop without SOU or HOA but im not patched up. Might have to leave it for now but ill have a go, maybe the server does not need the correct CD-key, doubt it. Or maybe ill go out and buy the expansion, i just wanted it quicker than going to the shops. Damn my impatience.

Since it looks like most ppl will not be able to make it this week, how about moving it to sunday at teh same time, or even next friday ?

Friday or any day next week is fine. Once i get back into work on monday i can start downloading patches and get patched up. Ill have to sort out broadband now it looks like im staying at home. Damn 56k is a killer!

right ill find where i put that game and install it on my pcs .. they seem to be working better then the laptop these days . i must rember .. so is it sunday r later inthe week ?

I should be ok even for Sunday as i just bought the expansion so im just doing the little 3mb update from 1.59 to 1.61. Dont have to use laptop now so thats good!

id be into that ! only got the game yesterday , is that ok ? aint even played it noline yet...hmm ill have to update , how big is the update from version 1 to current ? can you use your char from single player ?

Thats no problem, just run the update it shouldnt take to long.
AS for using a character from single player thats out, we typically use a seperate character available only with in the gaming sessions.

As for additionally content for games, sometimes you may need to download additional content, but in the case of the module I picked thats not so.

Sorry for all the questions rev if i cant use char from single player is it alright If I start one from scratch ? what character would be good for the current group ? Was thinking druid , warden or fighter maybe , or monk.

Right we'll go with a bog standard nwn module.
Just so those of you who arent used to online player can get a bit of practise in I've restarted the old portal server.
Thats on games2.iol.ie if u do a direct connect, cannt remember what I called it

What does the portal server do? I connected, but can't seem to do anything with it

Portal is just a place to meet up before the game.. once we are ready Rev or lolth unlocks the game server and we can portal into it.
You cant do much in the portal server...

That reminds me, Rev did you ever dicide if you would put a PW on the portal? might be fun. I vote for the Wheel of time one.. have not played it but might be fun

Oh yeah Regi, get both if you can but underdark seems the better.. Just when i thought it was going to end and be very short..

i end up in the drow city and there is lots more to the story!!

Yea the portal server is a bit empty, but then thats the idea of it, I did have another version of it which was far more expanded and did have things for ppl to do while waitting for the game server to start etc, so I might put that up.

In the mean time, the 'game' server is going back on ( bye bye halo mod ), and I'm currently looking for a good module to run on it.

I've put ShadeRavens version of Keep on the borderlands on the server, its for 1st level characters and really suits a party best. The server isn't set to restart when empty so it may get completed quickly.

If you have any suggestions for modules to run put them down here.

To join just enter the portal near where u start on the portal server.

It has indeed. A good number of the old PnP modules have been converted.
