My Sky collapsed on Christmas Eve

My Sky service failed on Christmas Eve. Getting "No satellite signal is being received" message. Sky talked me through all the power-off, cable removals etc., but no joy. Sky sent a package of new signals to the Digibox and I got a look at an EPG this morning, but no program signal.

Tony, when are you back working? Sky would send "an engineer", but I would prefer to keep it local. I'm in Crumlin, so only five minutes away. I suspect the LNB, but I'm no expert. The cable looks OK, no big winds recently to shake it apart, unless the frost did some harm.

Tony, could you PM me if you could do anything?

Sky now back in action. Problem was leaky connection at LNB on dish. "Rubber boots are rubbish - just trap the water", says the man!

    Easy when you know how!
