LOOKING FOR REVIEWS ON THE WIMP I MEAN WIN WRETLING EVENT?

It wasn't a great show, Pete Doyle was entertaining as the comissioner funny guy and stuff but he has totally lost his irish accent (he's from clondalkin but ya wouldnt know). Perry and Sandman were signing autographs as you we walked in but the prices were ridiculous €15 black and white signed promo and €20 for a colour signed promo. Perry's promo's were from his WCW days but i gotta say he put on alot of wait. He also has a funky/ugly tatoo that goes around his head and onto his face. On the subject of getting ripped off they also tried to do a photo thing with Perry in the ring during the intermission for €20 but no one was interested must have been embarrasing. When no one qued up perry went around ringside signing stuff. I was about 4-5 feet away from one of the corners and when sandman told him to hurry up (apparently cause sandman wanted to get a burger or two before his match) he said he would just work to the corner. I said to perry is HHH really the assh*le we all hear about, he said he didnt know. Then i asked if he still talks to Mike Bell he stopped signing autographs and walked to the back didnt look too happy.

All in all the Stevie Shaker baby maker (what a name) vrs Dunkan Disorderly (another great name) match was good. It was a prison rules match and had thumbtacs, barbed wire, tables and ladders among other things. The problem was it was just one spot afer another, would be nice to see them ina real "wrestling" match. The main event of perry v sandman was good for what it was, a brawl but the crowd were into it. Speaking of the crowd, most of it was dead for the whole show, i happened to be sitting in the one corner where it was red hot all night and not just when there was a good spot. (ross the ref rules)

During the parcel ona pole match the pole fell, which was funny, it then became a parcel in the corner match.

As i mentioned i was ina hot section of the crowd, thank god, the wrestling wasnt very good but when your ina hot section ya kinda amuse yourself. I enjoyed it prob only cause of the crowd and i got saturn pissed off. Tickets cost way too much though €40, it really wasnt worth it. I realise that isnt a comprehensive review, but screw that its all your getting.

40 ooros for WIN?! You do know you can go to Westlife or Christina Faguleara for that price and probably have a better time?!

I think I'll stick with waiting for the next NWA Ireland shows! No disrespect mate, but that price tag was just a tad steep and you said so yourself, it wasn't a great show.

Nero, your absolutely right, but im a sucker for pro wrestlingso i will prob go again, what can i say....im weak.

I was at the last NWA show and the quality of wrestling was alot better (paddy morrow and fergal devitt rule). There are rumours that the next NWA show will have a north dublin show, if so i'll be there.

Donaghmede if i'm not mistaken. Early to mid Feb.
Hopefully i'll get the chance to check it out anyway, i've seen enough of the tapes to sell it for me.

I know a couple of the guys in there and have seen some of the tapes that were made (but were never released).

Spoke to one of them and they wanna try and get a best of 2003 tape out, it all depends on supply and demand at the end of the day.

When i said sell it for me, i didn't mean sell the tape, i meant sell the idea of going to one of the shows... sorry if it caused any confusion.

i knew you ment sell the idea of goin to the show, i just thought some tapes might have been released.

Anyway, im lookin forward to the next show, i hope they have that kid wildcard ace of spades ina proper match, pref with another kid if they have another good one. No matter what they do it will get a pop, cause hey who is gonna boo kids, or shout you ****ed up, could be a good opener.

Well if the one in Donaghmede gets the go-ahead, I'll be there in a shot. Bolloxed though if i'm travelling to Bray or Arklow or Navan or Kildare for them though!

I know they did a gig at Mount Temple last year, the drawback of that place is that not a lot of people know where it is, and it's not exactly the easiest place to find. Christ, I used to live a stones throw away from it and never knew it until last year!
