Severe Dissatisfaction with Overclockers.co.uk

I dont know if this is the right place - I cant post on their own forums as they dissallow ANY negativity - even if legitimate.

I ordered stuff on Monday morning, there was a query on my address (I gave my address as my company address as it is being delivered here and I was doing it though the company for VAT reasons. No where on the site was anything instructed that I needed to give the address as per my Credit Card's address.

This has caused 2 days delay now. My order is still waiting to be approved based on payment.

Added to this - it has taken in excess of 24 hours to get simple reply's on mail - asking information on whether the information that I had given them for the VAT number was what they needed.

The next day I get a response - and its a question - on information that they could have looked at from my order - and then - could make a call if they had in correct info.

Its a long story. I can now not get them to answer my mail, my call to them dropped after waiting over 5 mins (at international rates) to find out the status of what is going on on the order.

I was impressed at first - answers were prompt and efficient. Since Ive been 'sold' - seems my importance to them is less.

Does anyone know how I ensure that the purchase doesnt go through on my Credit Card?

Just got a mail from them. Responding to an early yesterday mail - they havent even seen the yesterday afternoon or this morning mail.

Are they on the same planet? Have they ever heard of sorting mail per sender and trying to sort out a client in completion? Now they want to refund something - unclear if its the VAT or the cancellation of the sale.

This is what you get when you try and spend around €1000 with a company.

This, i believe, is a law that the credit card companies enforce to tackle credit card fraud not the retailers. I've ordered wo things from them, no problems:cool:

Cool - but then why take from Monday 16h15 till this afternoon - to have the updated information - and still not have the purchased approved or not?

This doesnt even go into the fact that they are now taking in excess of 24 hours to respond to mail - enquiring about the order etc.

I have just got off the phone with them. Proably the 5th time I had to call - and then to speak to a guy that is trying to do his job - but is totally unaware of any of my correspondence and of course when I asked to speak to someone senior, their lines were all busy.

I mentioned wanting to cancel the order (I would not have orded the stuff If I didnt want it in the first place) - and he is 'ok - we can cancel'. Damn - how to throw away €1000 worth of business without even flinching.

All I want is for someone senior to explain to me whats going on, give some form of apology - and ill wait for my 2 days extra based on their slow response.

Whoa - another email. Now they reckon they cant remove the VAT as my invoice address differs from my company address. Fortunataly I was able to have the bank add my work address in as a valid address for invoice on my Card.

Heres hoping the stuff will be here this year.
