A friend of mine brought me home a deck from new york, said they were selling them everywhere over the summer in silvenour shops/stands and whatnot. I'd say ebay'd be a good starting place?

    Wel, I got mine here

Ordered last week, arrived Monday. £7.50 per deck, but unlike firebox.com who were initially cheaper, they didn't want £13stg to cover the postaage, a mere £1.60 for that.

BTW they are all replicas, it's practically impossible to gate a set that the troops actually got.

i saw them in urban outfitters in temple bar the other day. i'd say if you try most novelty or gadget shops you might find them.

What about the opposite version that some lefties produced a few months back? They had Condoleeza Rice down as the Queen of Spades I believe...

The ones in the gadget shop are not the same as the original cards released by the defence dept. They altered the images by making them bigger and theres a few other slight differences.

The original 200 decks given to the troops where printed in house at the defence dept. and they were cut crudely without rounding off the corners. I have some decks of these '55 most wanted' that were printed from the exact same artwork but plastic coated with rounded corners so you can shuffle them! They're sealed in cellophane without a box. The only difference in the artwork is that the logo of the joker has been removed as it's copywrite owned by Hoyle.

I'll bring 10 decks to the boards beers tomorrow night (if theres a demand) and sell them to the first 10 people who come up to me and pay me a tenner for a deck. All the money will go to Santa's Strike Force. So hopefully I'll be able to hand Devore 100 Euro.

What do you say guys, will there be any takers? I'm not carting them into town otherwise. I will send them out by post if need be though.
