i know this sounds silly, but i only just got a digicam and am getting ready to get some digital prints. do i need to crop them to a particular size or just leave them as they are? its 3mp res. also i want to actually crop some of mine, again is it ok to do this or do they have to be in a certain size format.

    cheers

Try to avoid cropping when possible (as in, pay more attention to framing what you want when taking the actual picture). It will make the picture smaller, and often they'll stretch it to fit a print if it's too small.

A good general rule is to keep them as large as possible. There's no problem for the company to shrink them, but stretching is not a good idea.
