alternative christmas plans

    For various reasons that I'll not go into, I'll be taking a break from the traditional family Xmas. I like Christmas but I don't want to spend it at the family home.
    So I'm looking for some suggestions for something different to do this Christmas. Going to GF's might be an option, but don't want to put them out.
    Doing something for charity might be an option. Dublin-based, if anyone has a suggestion...

    well I'm going to make some beans on toast & sit at home alone in front of the TV...then go to a party that night & get hammered

    isn't jumping in at the forty foot on a lot of peoples xmas morn schedule? its not a whole day thing but it could start ur day off?

    You could try Vincent de Paul. Often need help with driving, hampers etc.
    Pity to lose out on Christmas with family. Takes over a year for it to come around again.
