    Troll?

If not, then did you study for the exam at all? There's plenty of websites around giving tips and help on how to make notes, plan for exams, dealing with past exam papers, deal with exam stress. Basically it all comes down to putting the work in and being prepared, willpower tbh.

Whats your problem with the lecturer and his wife?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 986 ✭✭✭wild_eyed

    whats 'troll'?

i crammed for the exam a bit, but it was useless, i got one question right out of 4, the others i didnt know enuff ,but i knew the detail of other questions but they didnt come up.

the lecturer was a nice guy once, but now he is just taking punches at me for a laugh in front of the class, i take that shít home man, pi*ses me off to no extent.

Well actually doing something is a good start ...

I normally just read over everything, taking down notes as I go (not for future revision, but because the act of taking down the notes makes the stuff stick better) .. do that a few times for everything, and they maybe test yourself on stuff, then do it all again.

The thing to do is not to leave everything till the last minute.

    ??
    explain

and I'm sorry, but you cannot blame him if you couldn't be arsed to open a book

neither do I understand why you have posted this thread, what help can you expect from people here? you need someone to tell you to open a book and spend a few hours each night studying?

    to quote your good self:
i never studied for anything, i always float

if you have done nothing during the year and then try to cram then you are bound to fuk up - as for your lecturer ,it would appear that he noticed you weren’t bothering to work hence wasting his and your time, I'm not surprised at his reaction.
As for reassurance, what reassurance do you expect exactly? You don’t study, you fail, end of story

    no u fail.

he`s not trolling, i too had the same exam today. Im not gonna be a **** and say it was easy, but it could have been a lot lot harder. Things to try are

Fatty Acids : improve concentration and alertness
I took these 2 months before final exams last year, improved things a lot. You can buy them over the counter as well

Studying: Short bursts, dont try and cram it all in

Anyway i`ll not go into detail on how i study, each person has there own type.

Seriously tho, you`re a smart bloke

If you want, after xmas, join a study group, get a couple of the lads. And you`ll soon start learning it.

That post exam sickeness you get when you know you would have got 70%+ if you had of went over the previous exam papers? we all get that

If you spent less time posting pictures of your toes on the net, that would be a start.

You prolly did a lot better than you think though. Consider it a wake up call. :)

These are xmas exams, worth at the most 10% of the final mark, worst of the worst, u fail and get 2-3%, put the effort in after xmas and you`ll be sorted.
I see networking as one of the easier exams to get marks in, as the course has a fair bit of practical stuff it. The more theorital subjects are harder as in you may need to learn of reams of notes. That said, I`m no perfect example of a student, im a bit of a bum. But dont compare yourself to other students.

After exmas is where it starts getting harder(i expect). I too need to get my **** together, study groups, a couple of hours after college, a few nights a week. Makes sense doesnt it

don't be sucking up to a 'baz'... especially if he is baz... he is a"troll"... you know better than that ...
Seriously tho, you`re a smart bloke
... there you go ... a total stranger...

as I said about myself before... There is always something bout the lads I like... only been bout 6 of them in my life time... but always have never been stupid. Quite the opposite... so why should you be different?
...and they wouldn't have let you into 4th year if they*lecturers* didn't think you would pass....
    the degree year that is...

... besides .. what I'vd hear from the rest of my year... the rest of you year is dim... so you should do well in comparion.
    From what I have witnessed.

*I suppose that really all depends on what you think of my point of view :p *

    BOLLOX

thats my opionin on all of this.

posting pictures of your feet .. is as much use as posting our opinion... .. if you think full of otherwise yourself.... this whole course is a joke ... and if you think otherwise .. I feel sorry for you...

cause .. I promise... I'll get as far as you... an maybe even fauther knowing that they are riping the piss

you aren't as great as you think...
if you understand that... you have learn't as much as you can from this year.

well how i motivate myself to study is,
i think about the future i will have if i study, pass my exams and get a degree.
then i think about what i will be doing in the future if i dont :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 222 ✭✭The Second

    no problem..

    I didn't mean to reasure....

but any one else with a difficult point of view...

I'm more than welcome to assure...

I like to try and see things from a different point of view...

and I can't see them till you tell me...:) plus I'd like to see it from a different view point ... from you'd expect ... so ... if you want or expect a different opinion .. and understanding won't be insulted where the viewpoint is coming from...
let me know.. I'll try my by best to expand...and explain . ... my own personal view point that is.. :p

So many things wrong with that, if you cant even string a sentence together on a BB, why should anyone even contemplate listening to you.

Most of my year is dim, I`d be the first to admit that. There are however, around 3-4 people who have a genuine interest in computers, one of them is wild_eyed.

Your problem is you want other people to do everything for you, you fail and exam, its the lecturers fault, dont know how to study? Get someone else to tell you how... Want a link on memory aids? Don't google it yourself get someone to spoon feed you...

It's your future all you need to do is get off your arse and do some things yourself...

Otherwise your gonna sit around doing fúck all wondering why you're not succeeding in life and blame society or some shít.

What exactly do you want to do then? Why not open a few books and read, take a few notes and oh my gosh maybe you might learn something...

It just might be a helpful alternative to seeking shallow reassurances and moaning on a forum.
